Studying People
How does the messy everyday life of real people translate to numbers on a spreadsheet? Often, we lose plenty of meaningful context in the translation.
Understanding this context is at the core of what I do.
I help companies make sense of it and to decide better with research-based insights. I teach students how to study the life of people and to package their findings for the boardrooms.
In practice, it means:
a) listening to people
b) reading
c) writing
d) talking.
Preferably in this order.
Consulting
I run a consulting practice called Insight Delivery. I bring together ad-hoc teams for specific tasks related to strategy, brands, and design of new services.

Teaching
I teach MBA students in the Laurea's Service Innovation and Design program and Master’s students on Aalto University’s Design for Government course.
Writing
I write about work in the intersections of business, social sciences, and design. Most of the texts are in Finnish, but I also try to write in English every now and then.
